WebNov 16, 2007 · Abstract. We investigated the functional and biochemical variability of Kunitz trypsin inhibitor (KTI) genes of Populus trichocarpa × Populus deltoides.Phylogenetic analysis, expressed sequence tag databases, and western-blot analysis confirmed that these genes belong to a large and diverse gene family with complex expression patterns. WebTrypsin inhibitor activity from soy and soy products utilizing all three methods (full volume 10 mL, half volume 5 mL, simplified 1 mL) revealed similar results. This trend prompted us to examine if the volume of the assay can be further reduced. We therefore developed a microassay (190 μL) which was performed in microtiter plates.
